Determination of N-oleoylethanolamide (OEA)

With the increasing popularity of N-oleoylethanolamide among supplement manufacturers, the method of analysis for N-oleoylethanolamide (OEA) in English version is a must. Here is a brief procedure how to test oleoylethanolamide. If you want to know more about OEA, please contact us via email on our contact-us page.

1.Method: Gas Chromatography (GC)
2.Instrument: Wenling Fu Li GC9790II gas chromatograph
flame ionization detector(FID)

3.Chromatographic column: SE54 capillary column
4.Analysis conditions:
Carrier gas: hydrogen
Flow rate: 0.1
Gasification temperature: 280 ℃
Detection temperature: 280 ℃
Column temperature: initial temperature of 180 ℃, holding 3mins, 20 ℃ / min temperature to 260 ℃, thermal insulation 20mins.
5.sample preparation and injection requirements:
Preparation of samples: 0.2g sample was dissolved in 10ml sulfolane solution at the temperature of 100 ℃, maintaining the sample at this temperature.
Injection Requirements: Syringes was heated in an oven at 100 ℃ for 20mins, under the protection of insulating gloves, rapid sampling 0.1uL, rapid injection.
6. Calculation method: area normalization method
